Ok folks this works. I’m allergic to bee/wasps sting. Several years ago I developed hives and my hands and face (eyes) started swelling. Went to the ER and got treated and got a script. The doc said while you’re getting this filled get some Pepcid. Generic is fine. I asked if the meds would give me some side effects and she said no but it’s like Benadryl without the drowsiness. I’ve been stung and immediately took three with no swelling. I have my miter saw set up on a small table saw I have and was going to move it as I’m building a stand for my grinder. I reached under the table right into a wasp nest. Ouch. (Ok that’s not what I really said but there are women and some children on here). Rushed into the house and took a couple of generic Pepcid and so far no problem. I recommend it

I wonder if Pepcid would have the same effect on Poison Ivy, etc.? I developed allergic reactions to the three "P's" later in life and swell the most in my face. Scary stuff just like swelling from insect stings. Something to question my doc about.

We take a script version for acid re flux which my wife and I both have trouble with
But it can cause issues in people kidney disease; or liver disease; it seems my CHF has messed up my kidneys and liver
the pepcid and like products change the way liquid and other things are transferred in the body my pee can be clear if my kidneys are working or almost orange if they are not, potassium, magnesium, vit B, etc are flushed out of the liver and the lack of them in adequate amounts has put me in the hospital several times
not saying don't use it, just take note of any differences you feel after
my wife has asked me 3 times since 6PM if I was ready to go to the hospital yet
I have so much water on my heart and lungs I can't get my breath, am taking meds that remove water, more then a gallon since I got up, but it's not fast enough, my feet are swollen so my slippers are leaving marks
But diuretics are not going to fix the real problem which is my heart over working on the left side, but getting it fixed may end me

Woodyz, my friend. I feel for you and keep you in my prayers. Don't take the Pepcid to add to your problems. Can't you use anything over the counter to help with your acid reflux?
