As always great resources about fatwood. We have pine trees in my area only if they were planted. I don't have one.

If you are in dire need and in the right part of the country always look for old fence lines.... Quite often the post where made from virgin pine(slow growth)and they are often rich lighter (fat wood) dense... I am not suggesting tear down someones fence but abandon is always fair game and if in a true bind well...
