Dr. wants me to exercise more to get stronger and better blood flow since stress test and before heart catherization.sp
Stress test showed I am not getting good blood flow to the back side of my heart.
Plus my diabetics is worse
anyway the weather has been good, turning cooler
re-implemented my planned daily schedule
Getup earlier and watch the sun come up with my cup of coffee walk for 30 minutes, doesn't matter how far, it's the time. Drink 16oz of water and take vit + water and heart pills do a streching routine off of a note card, followed by an exercise routine written on note cards, where I pick a different note card at random and will do a different set of repations of squats, planks, etc. off the floor or wall rest/read breakfast- eat oatmeal or cream of wheat with either nuts and blue/straw berries or blue/straw berry yogert walk 30 min drink 16oz water rest/read/write/tv SNACK APPLE/PEAR/BANANA REST/READ/WRITE/tv LUNCH WALK 60 minutes drink 16 oz water rest/read/write/tv
I found that if I don't put drinking water on the schedule, I won't drink it and will even get dehydrated
I found myself watching less and less tv and reading more
I am taking my blood sugar at 9/12/3/6/9
I have not needed fast acting insulin at all this past week
I have been taking my long term insulin, 20 units of Lantus, at 7 pm each day
but I feel better too

completely forgot a couple of things
first is to comment on all the acorns we have on the oak trees this year
the trees are loaded and the acorns are big
even the water/white oaks have lots
second, since I have been walking around I can see a big difference in the tracks of the deer and turkey this year
notably none, we are no longer in a travel corridor since two recent clear cuts of pine trees
we still have a large area of uncut timber land behind us, but two areas clear cut near us have changed the travel paths of both the deer and turkey around us
we still have both using our land for bedding/roosting, but how they get there from feeding in fields of soybeans etc has changed because they are avoiding the clear cuts

Woodyz Such great news about your exercise program and sensible eating! I should adopt what you're doing.

SO, just to prove me wrong, on my walk this am there was deer tracks right in the drive way
one set and they came from a utility cut which goes thru both clear cuts
this deer walked the utility cut out of the clear cuts then crossed our front yard, crossed our drive and went down hill to the bedding area
just one doe, but if she does it, others will follow
it was a good sign they are ready to re-establish their pathway across our property

Sounds like a good regimen. I need to get more organized like that. I start off ok then have an "Oh squirrel" moment, and I'm lost. LoL
