Well, Covid-19 is here now, we spent today creating a decontamination area in my garage. It is not perfect, but at least her scrubs and shoes will be kept out of the house.
changing station with plastic bag for work clothes, sanitizer and bleach spray(for shoes) table for clean clothes covered in plastic, nitrile gloves.
She suspects at least 5 patients on her hall of having it. If they do the will not let her leave work even if she comes down with it.
I look for work to shut down for two weeks or more. Hope my friends in management will give us a heads up before it happens. I will try to keep you all posted. Pray for us as we do for you.

So sorry to hear that! Is there someplace near an exit the she could change clothes and bag the scrubs before she gets in her car?

It's not easy for families when a member is in healthcare such as your wife. Personally, my niece has sent her young daughter to stay with her mom through this. Not everyone has that advantage. Of course she misses her terribly but she knows it's the right decision to make.
You and your family are in my prayers. Keep us posted.

The car is the largest weak point in the plan. She needs to find a roll of the bed cover like a doctors office uses to cover the seat while traveling home (presuming clean items on the way to work). Decon is standard for nuclear, biological, and chemical work. She should have her OSHA HAZWOPER cert, at a minimum. If she doesn't, she needs to be asking for it. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK232400/You can also go to government regs for what's needed.
