So I'm still getting all the Tilapia I can/want to eat from our greenhouse friend and today I put some slabs on the grill in heavy foil, put some foil down, put thick slices of lemon down, put seasoned fish fillets on the lemon, added some jumbo shrimp, poured a whole bottle/jar of fresh pic de gallo, added a bottle Wishbone Italian dressing, added chopped green onions and folded the foil over and put on the grill in in-direct heat, about 375, it smells fantastic and I can't wait till it gets done, about another 10 minutes.
My wife has some chicken 1/4's and some thick cut porkchops seasoned, I will add to the fire/bbq and put them on to cook after I take the fish off, no sense letting a good BBQ fire go to waste.

I'm picky about where my Talapia comes from. Sounds perfect for my tastes! You are making me hungry.

Dang Woodyz, you're making me hungry too! I love grilled fish. My fav is grilling cod. Place in foil with sliced lemon, sliced red and sweet potato, a few asparagus and a slice of pineapple. Chase out the dogs stuff! LoL!
I know you enjoyed all that great food. A southerner down to the core!

The greenhouse guy has these big rectangle concrete tanks that are the bases for his greenhouses, but when he doesn't have the plastic over them he lets them fill up with water then puts the Talapia in them to eat the algae etc. plus he feeds them and they breed like rabbits, so he butchers about 500 every month and gives me and other people who like them a big batch, their fresh and good and clean and free and I'll take/eat whatever he wants to give me.
I put 15 or 20 fillets a month in the freezer and grill or bake about the same every month. We have them once a week at least. They are good, I like to eat them and I know his are fresh and healthy.
I like COD/WHITING/BASS/CRAPPIE/SALMON/catfish/most common fish, but I like these cause they are good and they are free and already cleaned.
