It sure was hot today temps around 99, heat index 104. So I played in the creek and did some camping.

So you're saying you had a cool front move in for you? We were at 104 today, without the heat index and the next 7 days are all 100+ temps.. 80s for morning lows. We had a 45 minute rain Friday night that cooled us down into the upper 90s.. that was nice.. 70s early in the morning.. but that went away quickly.

I'm tired of dewpoints that refuse to go below 70 degrees. I could deal with the hot temperatures better without all this stifling humidity. Playing in the creek sounds like an excellent way to spend the day.

It's all relative to where you live, No way it should be getting this hot in NE Ohio. So where do you live?

I could have stayed home in air conditioned house......no way. i'm not a young buck anymore and the heat does get to me now. I guess I need to slow down......someday just not today

Eastern Oklahoma. No way should we be having 100 plus temps this early in the year. But when it was in the upper 90s in May it was a pretty safe bet we were in for our third straight summer of extreme heat. I doubt if August and September will provide much relief. If only it would rain once a week it would make it so much better.. of course if it would rain slowly FOR a week it would be even better.

You are certainly living the Life of Reilly OT. I just love the rock stove you made, sadly, none of that stuff here to play with. Hope you found your cellphone, mine is at my niece's house since Sunday and can only hope someone takes the time to bring it to me soon. Thanks for bringing us along on your daycamp hike, keep 'em coming so we can all follow you along.

All I have to do is grab my pack walk 100 or so yards and I am there to do as I please, yes I am lucky. I will continue to record my outings, i enjoy doing that then sharing with you all ;D ;D ;D
