I just weighed my INCH bag(I'm Never Coming Home). Fully loaded to include all my usual camping gear + 1) Water 2) 10 pounds worth of good eating (could be stretched) 3) My .22 rifle and 500 rounds 4) 2 #220 traps 5) Sven saw and extra blade 6) BK&T patrol machete 7) 3 yo-yo fishing traps and a separate fishing kit 8) 4 person Wal-Mart backpacking tent (I usually carry a UL 2 man tent) 9) My Afghan Ranger knife with sharpening stone. 10) Glock 22 with extra full mag. It came in at 60 pounds I won't be going very fast. I have some ideas for lightening it. Theoretically, I could keep my family alive on the trail for quite a while with this last ditch set up. Hope I never need it. Here's a link to my regular load out, less the survival stuff.... survivalbunker.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=camping&action=display&thread=516

Are you trying to lose weight on it? Does each person in your family carry their own bag? What weight can you get rid of? This might help. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScWq5TfFvyU Good vid.

My wife wouldn't be carrying much of a bag, if any. We might have to split up her load. Man, the guy in that video was spastic/ all over the board. I got dizzy just trying to follow what he was saying. His load out seemed pretty bizarre too. Like his plan was a 2 week combat operation. I don't know who would pack that way. I didn't make it all the way through the video because he was just getting seriously off task talking about vegetable oil trucks and stuff. Sorry.

Not sure how much water you are carrying, but you may be able to take say half of it out and replace with a water filtration system.
I prefer a hammock over a tent, but that's just me. And honestly by the time you add a woobie and poncho for rain and cold weather, it would be about the same as your two man tent.

I didn't make it all the way through the video because he was just getting seriously off task talking about vegetable oil trucks and stuff. Sorry. No prob. I'll sum up. He was making the point that too many people pack waaaay to much stuff. We have to figure what the right amount of stuff is, to be effective. If your INCH is too heavy it may bog you down so much you are ineffective at bugging out. In an INCH situation you have to ask yourself, "What items will run out?". If an item will"run out" is it worth packing? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I pack duck tape because it runs out very slowly. I don't pack guns because they are loud, alert people to my presence, heavy, and ammunition runs out. I use a bow, and in a pinch, a sling bow. However I do acknowledge that someday I may need a gun. I am trying to figure out a 1 gun solution. It will probably be a .22 pistol. I can't tell you to lose the guns because you need to do what works for you.
