Picked this up a while back, says Newport and .22 WRF on top strap. Was in good shape, timing tight, but will only chamber .22 shorts, or CB caps. Some one had milled in a spot for the rear sight, made from plastic, so part of the Newport is gone. Should make a good BYB pistol...... Newport was one of many names used by the Crescent Arms company over the years

I'll have to say I've never seen one of those before.

me either.. strange looking but kind of a sleek design.. well except for that unusual grip.. which is kind of cool on its own.

I have a High Standard 9 shot .22 LR, with a six inch barrel that has that same grip shape. It really fits your hand and stays on target. The HS was sold in Sears in the 60's as a "tackle box" gun I could not find any search matching the Newport. (yet I have not given up)

The sight replacement reminds me of the Henry AR7. The newer models have a plastic front site that must be bent to the side to store the rifle in its stock. It can be removed, but since it came bent it never aims the same place twice. I replaced the front site with a wood carved one, notched with two reference points scratched on the barrel. Now I remove it when stowing and when it put it back on it at least goes the the same place now.
Then I ordered a new replacement and now I just take it off before stowing.
