yeah! I actually got some of those.....pretty cool
I also got a bandana that helps you identify snakes and gives first aid instructions for various types of snakebites.
I like "multi function" items a lot.
As a last resort, you could burn the playing cards as tinder....

I've been on a few backpacking and hunting trips where it was nice to have playing cards. When it's raining and there's nothing else to do it's a nice way to pass time and keep the conversation going. It can save your sanity.

I recently purchased the Knot tying playing cards, not from this site, but from another site for $2.00 cheaper. All the playing card series are fun and very interesting. This site is a good site but I personally found the prices way out of line. For example, within the last few months I purchased the ETON FR360 radio for 50.00 (1 each for son and daughter, the ETON FR160 for $29.98, and the Midland XT511 base radio for $56.00. All from Amazon. This week I received another set of Knot tying cards (7.95) and two rolls 100 MPH Tape (9.99@) along with a few other items from Safe Zone LLC. I have nothing to do with them either but prices are very reasonable and shipping is fast; trying to help save money. Jim

On the subject of cards and their usefulness, I really, really would like to find a copy of the Lee Nading SURVIVAL CARDS. I have been searching for them for over 25 years. At that time my boys were taking Hunter Safety classes and I thought they would be great (useful) Christmas presents. Still think so, but just cannot find them.

woodyz -- Thanks for trying, but that link leads to Campmore, and they have not had the Lee Nading SURVIVAL CARDS for around 25 years. Campmore does have some neat cards, but not the ones I am seeking. I have been searching for years on the internet. Individual card sets have sold on eBay over the years but I have not been able to snag any. I gave up checking on Crags List. I have searched the card catalogs in all of the libraries in the states surrounding Wyoming. I have gone to gun shows and asked around. I have tried to contact Lee Nading, he apparently was active on the internet as late as last year, but got no reply. A lot of members here seem to have quite extensive survival libraries, but I have never seen them mentioned as a resource. Other than finding an individual that has a set and is willing to sell them, I am open to other suggestions.

I agree with you about having playing cards to pass time away. For me not having any wouldn't be a crisis but we do enjoy playing poker at family get-togethers and would miss not having any. Of course that's when a creative mind would help to make our own deck. ;D

Because I wrack by wrecked brain to find 3 uses for anything I am going to carry on my back. Playing cards with first-aid or knot tying need another use. So we have added playing cards into our security and communications procedures using challenge coins, the King James Bible, and cards
