First off finally found a good and appropriate use for my tractor:
Never been able to get a decent grouping with my .22 rimfires. No problem grouping my pellet rifles at all. I'v shot the Ruger 10/22, Marlin 60 and Henry. The Ruger and Marlin have upgraded triggers in them. The Henry's stock.
Well, I thought I'd try a little cheap rifle so I got a Savage Mark II (import) from Wally World and a Bushnell 4x32 scope. Dialed her in at 25 yards and backed up to 50 yds. Still not top notch shooting at 50 yds but somewhat better than I've done with the others!!!!!
First 10 shots: Flyer to the right was a bad load
I'm sure.
8 shots in this I believe . . . was getting too dark to shoot. Maybe it was only seven. Thought I loaded 8 though.
I think she deserves a trigger job!!!! Kinda atrocious as she is. Lighter spring and shim the trigger housing. Maybe a little burnishing of the sear and trigger with a touch of Moly.
