If you freeze bottles/jugs of purified water in your deep freeze will it be good to drink once removed and thawed? Would the frozen jugs help keep the deep freeze cold in case of a power outage?

Yes on both counts, when we camp we freeze bottles of water and use in the cooler to keep everything cold and when it thaws we drink it. The more ice and food in a freezer holding the cold the longer the freezer will remain cold. On a side note when freezing containers of water leave 20% space empty in the conatiner for expansion.

I agree with yes on both counts. I've done and do it.
