Looking for ST info on making chicken feed.

Someone had a thread on ST about making your own chicken feed. I thought it was Woodyz but he said it wasn't him.

I remember they used acorns but can't remember what else was mixed in.

Did anyone save that?

We don't have chickens yet but wanted it for when we get some.

I may have found what you are looking for, but I don't know where it came from, it is a pdf file I saved "practical poultry raising" its a peace corps handbook and one of the indexes has different home made mixtures of feed. It is released for use. I don't know how to go about posting a pdf with out a web address.

This might be the publication that woodyz was trying to pass along. I think the information you are wanting may be in section 8. It is a Peace Corps Manual.

Good info but not what I was after. It sounded like the person who made the post had possibly made the mix before and fed it to their birds.
