Well the play funds came in and the wife was at work so I went for it!!!LOL Lets hope she isn't paying to much attention
I do not know why I did not purchase a .22 rifle before now. I just went to the range after purchasing it and this thing is a beast. Very very precise, the accuracy is a little off to the right however I ordered the "GI" style sights from tech-sights.com for it so hopefully they come in soon and I can see what a difference it makes.
Over all assesment of the weapon after 300 ish rounds is quite good. No failures of any kind from both remington cheap 555 round box or a slightly more expensive CCI ammo. I was shooting hollow points with both ammo to try and determine any significant difference and I did not find any.
I tell you what this thing while shooting slightly to the right was hitting shot gun hulls at 40 ish yards averaging one hit out of 2-3 rounds from a hasty bench rest which was my plastic ammo box from cabelas. I think I am going to shoot it with out a scope once I get those new sights. I do not have any pics of the targets but the first hole continued to get larger and larger off of my make shift bench rest. Of course I pulled a few but all in all a great shooting gun. I paid $149 at Cabelas which might be a tad high but it is the only place in town that had one in stock. I was at the local gun shop and was about to pay him to order me one until he informed me what a bad choice it was and that I needed to do more research and buy his 10/22 for 300 instead. Geez, what happened to the customer always being right even if they are not correct!
