I found some bags of this:
Morton Tender Quick Home Meat Cure
on sale in the grocery store. Has anyone used it? What was your experience? How long will this keep?

I've been looking for some. What grocer did you find it in? Never used it but want it stored . . . just in case. Necessary for wet curing meats. WC or Old Coot need to check in on this one.

PUBLIX of all places. If they still have it tomorrow after work I am gonna pick it up. think they are dis-continuing it.

I buy it every chance I get. It works great if you follow the directions! I also use the Mortons Sugar Cure...great stuff!!

Gotta be real carefull with it, thins can get over salty in a hurry. Not bad stuff, just better stuff out there.
It be a cure with salt added. A better product be called cure #1 er sometimes called prague powder #1. The cures be that, just cure. Yall add the salt per a recipe.
I've used Morton's, just prefer the plain cure myself.

I don't know what mortons says, but the regular cure I use ain't got no experation date on it an we all know salt be good ferever an a day, so I'd say it should keep till heck freezes over.
