Yep, my gun will shoot shorts, Longs and Long Rifle. I don't hardly ever shoot the Shorts anymore, mostly just the Longs. They seem to be more accurate in my gun.

Huh we'll mine won't. I didn't know to think about that. Live and learn. Yeah, your auto-loader will not cycle the shorts. I'm not sure if it will cycle the Long Rifle cartridges either? The Marlin specs say "Longs Only" |

There are a couple that will cycle and shoot all three but not the Ruger. I think Remington and Winchester both made one but not if they are still in production.

The old Rem 550 shoots all of them, so does the 552. Most all the pumps will work great. I use the Rem yellow jacket CB longs in my Marlin 39a. Works great on all little critters. The short CBs only knock out the squirrel, then you gotta wrestle the little feller. Makes me want to go sit under a tree.  |

Ya know what Redneck, I don't think I have tried any Rem CB's. I don't remember them if I did. Wasn't sure they made them which doesn't add up since the Remington 22 plant is 30 minutes from my house! Oh well I didn't have a Google Machine back then so it's a wonder I could do anything right!!  |

You guys sure make a non hunter feel the itch. I spoke with the lady at the conservation dept and they can not find my info. Not sure what that means other than I can't try my hand at killing things yet. I might have to retake the hunters ed. course, but I am not sure when I will have time for that. Have fun for me would you.

Have fun for me would you. Ahahaha, You're not getting off that easy!!! We can take hunter ed. on-line here so you should be able to there as well. AND if you took it before it should be a breeze. If you were issued a card there has to be some way or some one that has a record of it. C'mon Soldier...let's go shoot dinner! If you're not keen on dumplings I make em pretty dang tasty fried with mashed taters, gravy, corn, okra and homemade biscuits too? |

Yeah yeah. I spoke with them three seperate times today. I did take the course and I was issued a card so I would think there should be a paper trail. OOOOHHHH just saw the okra part. I think I have only had them fried but dang them is good!!
