Good article covering some good basic information. My plan for a few years now is to bug out with my toy hauler to some remote property I have. Same thing he wrote his book about.

We do have a bug out RV and keep it stocked for a month. Plus camping gear and most everything else. But I am not going to depend on it too much as we may not be able to get it where we need to, if we start too late.
One of our BOL is only 20 miles from where we live and we can travel back roads all the way.
I am convinced with my age and medical conditions I won't be bugging out unless the situation destroys or will destroy the home location. But the home location is relatively private, with a lot of natural water, woods and includes a high ground camping cache within its boundary.
