What about 5 gallon buckets? I think they are one of mans best inventions! I would just about be willing to bet that there is a five gallon bucket in every home, well maybe not in Manhatten.... I couldn't get along without them myself. And in an uncertain future, they may be worth their weight in gold...or plastic... I say post your use of them. Now try to limit it to two or three so everyone can post alittle something. HEY ALL YOU LURKERS, join up and get in on this!!! Help us build this place. Take the leap. Have fun. Jimmy

I use one for a seat plus carry my gear in it. Can be used to catch rain water for drinking. A small hole in the side about 5 inches from the bottom and hung from a tree could be used as a shower but will still hold water. Can't wait to see what others use a bucket for.

I use them for keeping all my yoyo's straight and organized, outta the floor of the boat too. The absolute best way I have ever figured out how to keep trotlines from tangling into a huge mess, especially running lines at night.

Temp tool chest, mix small amounts of concrete, water plants, store calcium chloride to keep it from getting lumpy, have lengths of scrap wood in one and old broom/shovel handles in another (old handles are soo useful!), vegetable planters, hold black sand from gold sluice till final cleanup.

One has a seat on it used for hunting, fishing others used for deicer (I know, it's not used much but, was given to us when we had a storm), car washing stuff.

My CO has one that is covered in ACU pattern duct tape and has a pad on the lid. He uses it as an easy to carry cooler and seat. It looks pretty cool with the tape on it.

I personally think they are a huge improvement over clay pots and woven baskets!
