Took the Technician's Ham test last night. I missed one. Not too bad, I don't think anyway. I studied for the General Ham test for all of a day and decided to give it a try last night after passing the Technician test. Missed passing it by one question. Oh well, I can take it again later. I didn't figure I would have done that good on it. ;D All my practice test have been a lot lower scores. Now just waiting for my Call Sign so I can use my radios.

That should give you time to study for both. That website www.hamradiolicenseexam.com really helped me out a lot. But I am sure you will do great. Your post was the one that pushed me into going to get mine. I have been putting it off for almost 15yrs. So thank you for that little push I needed.

Won't be long and maybe we can give a holler at each other over the airwaves! ;D JP & Pennsyvania Mike really were the boost I needed!

Thanks for the link. I was checking out that link and the QRZ.com link today looking. Yes I know it hasnt been posted but wanted to check the links out before time. They told me that it would be some time next week before my call sign would be posted. I am a little anxious. I am wondering if I should wait to take my General test before I get my call sign or wait till after I get it. Hmmmm

If you feel confortable taking the general class exam, go ahead and take it and if you pass it you can use your existing call sign. Good luck on your general test, very soon you will be working the world on a radio as well as a computer (EchoLink).
