I have done that with small tinder fungus with no hard outer shell. I need to try this with a bigger fungus without cutting the outer shell off. The ones I use grow as large as plates and are white in color. I don't peel the outer shell off, I just light the edge and it all burns little by little. Don't ya just like experimenting with different things.  I sure do and now to collect some white ones and give it a try  |

wow we have them all over up here nice find Thanks blacksmith did you know they also make great wicks for oil lamps? Many species also have antiseptic qualities |
