Here is a link where you can check out your states evacuation routes, weather, how to apply for help after a disaster and much more information. There is also links to shelters and finding loved ones after an emergency event. This is good info to have even if you are trying to avoid the routes everyone else is taking. I would suggest not only reading about your state but also other states around you and where you BOL might be.
