I know it's a little much with all the extras. One thing I would keep is the brake for down hill resistance. Other then that I think it could be a good alturnative to putting on a pack. Give me your input as to pros and cons as you see it. www.monowalker.com/ENG-close-up.html

If used in a wooded area I think it would get hung up on limbs stumps and such.

If used in a wooded area I think it would get hung up on limbs stumps and such. You must remember this will be used by those with disabilities. Someone that will be using roads and paths. I can tell you this it will go through the woods better then you may think. The one wheel design will allow it to go over downed trees and through tight places. I have a two wheel trailer that is pulled behind my bike and it will go over downed trees and through the woods. I don't think it will be a problem. Even on foot a person must pick and choose a path of less resistance. The same would be true when pulling the monowalker. I do like the clips for hands free pulling.

In that case it would work well i think. I would like to see one in action Clink on the link and look around they do have videos and other products,a very interesting site. They even have a blog. One inprovement I would make, adding hub caps so sticks could not go through the spokes and stop your progress.

It is nice but for the price I think one could be built without some of the gadgets a lot cheaper. I am like you, the brakes are nice as well as the hands free concept. Jim

Jim I agree they added to many bells and whistles. Took something that should have been simple and made it to expensive. I know we could come up with one that would be cheap and work well. If I did make one I would make it so you could turn it into a sleeping cot, that right there would make it worth pulling

yeah been thinking of getting something still love to be outdoors all the time I do know what you mean. I thank god that i'm still able to get out and go, on my own two feet. I try not to think about the day when I can not go to the woods on my own. That right there might be enough to kill me.
