So anyone here use Rabbit Sticks? Anyone have any preferred throwing methods? Here's a pic of one I am currently using.

PW, sorry for my lack of understanding. Could you explain the use of rabbit sticks?

Use them for taking down rabbits and other small critters. Thrown sorta like a boomerang.

Use them for taking down rabbits and other small critters. Thrown sorta like a boomerang. Wouldn't it be easier just to shoot them? At least if you miss you do not have to go get your rabbit thingamajiggy. ;D Okay okay, just kidding. I know a fellow that used some sort of a stick but it wasn't curved and was real thick about 1.5 or 2 feet long. The problem is he had to sneak up close enough to throw it. Out in West Texas them jackrabbits are seriously fast, but there are bejillions all over the place. Jim

They are the original ranged hunting implement. Find a stick and throw it.
I have seen all sorts of shapes. Some are light weight and designed to return like boomerangs. Others are heavier and do not return. Mine don't return because I need them to be heavy enough to kill/knock out my target or break its legs.
Ideally they are for small game like squirrel, rabbit, gopher, ground hog, opossum, beaver, small birds etc. You can even use them to hunt deer. You have to hit the deer's legs.
