How many here have a leatherman wave? And how many know of the wire stripper and lanyard loop? If not just ask

AHA, either no one but we two own one or no one wants to ask. I will represent all the wave owners (mine stays on my belt all the time) and ask. (For their benefit of course ) Jim PS. Your all welcome

;D This photo shows the wire stripper just below the can opener. To use the lanyard loop open the saw blade and at the bottom on the inside you will see a tab, it just slides out. A quarter works great to slide it out. ..

Mine is like geron's. It is between the philips & flat screwdriver by the can opener. Had to hunt for it as it is really hiding in there. Thanks Jim

Great! Thank you! I just got a wave from my wife for my birthday today. I guess she got tired of hearing me gripe about loosing my leatherman kick. I haven't even begun to figure out all the fun stuff it posesses.

When mine first arrived, I promptly opened all the tools just to see 'em. There are 2 ways of returning them to their stored positions, and one way eluded me for nearly an hour. I knew it had to be a simple push, but it still took an hour of staring at it, poking & prodding, pushing and nudging. +1 to never leaving home without it!

I especially like the neat little pouches on the side of the sheath that perfectly fit my firesteel and magnesium!

Are the pouches closed at the bottom? My wave's sheath only has elastic at the sides, not actual pockets or pouches for holding anything. They could be easily stitched closed.

I have the same elastic at the sides but my magnesium and firesteel are on a lanyard so they won't drop through. I definitely see that being a problem without the lanyard though.
