How do you organize your gear in your bags? Pockets, compartments, tupperware?
I was storing my stuff in empty plastic coffee containers. However I found them to be a bit bulky in my bag. I also had to empty one out just to get to what I need.
I have since started using smaller containers each labeled with the contents. I use empty plastic peanut jars or empty coffee-mate containers. These are taller but more slender and lend themselves well to organizing in my bag. With these "capsules" I no longer have to dig through one large container. I simply find the container labeled with what I want and grab it.
Ideas? Comments?

I have an assortment of things. I make use of the pockets and compartments. I have a cleaned out peanut butter jar (plastic) that I keep tea, hot chocolate, instant oatmeal and MRE peanut butter packets in. I did that mostly so I would have a back up container for water and just made use of the space inside. First aid kit is in a small nylon bag with a drawstring so it will fit nicely in the pack. Inside of that supplies are organized in clear ziploc bags so I don't have to sort through the whole kit to find what I need.
PJ cotton balls are in 2 film canisters. I have a round candy tin that holds a pocket chainsaw, the good kind not the little wire, and a small firesteel. I'm always trying to lighten the load on that pack so I don't have a lot of containers for everything.

My preferred containers are 1 gallon reseal able bags, they keep things dry, they are see thru, I can use them to measure, collect, carry, etc. Each bag has quart lines on them.
For small items I build pvc pipe containers cut to size to fit in the bags below.
Next would be the plastic soap dishes, they are see thru and hold anything I would want for edc and small FAK, Fish/trap kit, gun cleaning kit, etc. and they fit in a shirt pocket.
Then I use the bags used by small business as money bags, with the zipper on top. They can be found in different colors for indicating the content of what is inside but offering an additional layer of concealment. They are good for hand tools and ammo in mags.
Then are the bags like men carry a shaving kit in, same concept as the zipper bags but I can fit one zipper bag and many different soap dishes in each.
All of these allow the objects inside to shift and move around so the kits pack into each other better and make the best use of space.
From there I move up to the intermediate size MOLLE bags that attach to the outside of my kit or to my belt.
My caches are in mason jars, 1 gallon paint cans, PVC pipe, 5 gallon buckets, 12 gallon barrels and 55 gallon barrels depending on what goes in and where it will be hidden.

My son is a traveling pharmacist, and he called the other day asking if I could use some of the larger pill bottles that pharmaceuticals are delivered to pharmacies in. Said every pharmacy he works in has a whole trash can full of such empty bottles at the end of every day. I asked why they were not recycled, and he said there was no company policy to do so. He said some are several inches high and a few inches around, and the translucent to clear ones come in a variety of colors. Told him to stock up, for himself, then for me! If any of you know a pharmacist well enough to ask what they do with their empties, it could turn into a valuable resource for your prepping and your everyday life. I can see all my nuts, bolts, screws, et cetera, finally getting organized! Best of all, it will cost me nothing.

I like using the soft side lunch coolers, the ones that will hold a six pack. I use two of them, one holds my cooking gear, tea bags, sugar, spoon and fork, crackers, hand cleaner and still room for more. The other one holds everything else like my fire kits, para cord, and much more. Zip lock bags work good but if used a lot they tend to wear out quickly even the freezer bags.
