Well finally saved enough to buy me a AR15 a gun show today. Got the DPMS, some friends also have the same and have put alot of brass through them without incident so that was good enough for me.
Man that place was packed solid going next weekend to another gun show with my 8 year old grandson he loves them, he is wide eyed trying to take it all in. I took him to one last year and hes been asking all summer when we could go again, says he needs another pocket knife, going to try and get him on track with a Barlow.

I have well over 1000 rounds through my DPMS with out fail. It will eat everything from match ammo to the crappiest of the crappy walmart ammo. The other good thing about the DPMS is its chambered for 5.56 (mine is any way) so it can handle the higher pressures. When I got mine I went with a heavy barrel and M4 feed ramps. I couldn't be more pleased with my DPMS. I am thinking of putting a flat top on it as right now I have an A2 style upper. When I buy my upper it will be from DPMS. Congrats on your new rifle!!

Hope you have alot of fun with it. AR's are something you either love or hate. I love all of mine. I got started 35 years ago, then started adding one now and then, and that turned into I want one of each new brand as they came out.....who knows where it will end? So watch out the bug may bite you to. I know you can only take one if the need arises to bug out, but how often does that happen? And after forty plus years of marriage, what else am I gonna 'fondle'?
