I bet those a$$ holes threw you beater from camp 1 in the woods or river. If I may suggest something, when you walk out you might want to ware some blaze orange during hunting season. maybe a hat. You know how stupid people are, they will shoot at anything that moves.

You know how stupid people are, they will shoot at anything that moves. You got that right, i do one better and avoid the woods altogether. Like you said very stupid people, that only pick up a gun during deer gun season...very dangerous. So yes thank you for the heads up, thanks for posting

I like that you considered ventilation with the pads Just a question... Since you guys over there have a boat load more snakes than us, do you not worry about them in all those leaves? I think I'd have to clear a nice area before I felt safe! lol

I've only encountered one poisonous snake ever -- and he (yes, it was a male) was already dead (had been cut in half). Too bad -- he was a beautiful copperhead.
I've only seen ANY snakes in the wild a handful of times. Counting the copperhead, it makes 5. My very first encounter was with a gorgeous green snake sunning on a chunk of granite in VT. Everybody else was a small garter snake.

To bad someone killed that snake, I do understand protecting the homested. But some people think they have the right to go into the woods far away from homes and people. Then kill any snake they see. This really upsets me to no end. Posonous or not if your in a non residential area leave the wildlife alone. One more thing if a person plans on spending time outdoors. They should take the time and learn how to identify snakes in there area...pretty simple. Hope you know just talking in general
