Cool, the way that it is tied from the factory, you can cinch the lanyard 'button' down to make the end cap more secure so you dont lose your wetfire cube, another option is to replace the lanyard with a longer loop of paracord.

Thats what I was thinking about doing JQ, use about 6 foot and double it over to make a 3 foot lead. I don't think that would be too much.

the other idea I saw today was to tape a large sewing needle with a few turns of 100mph tape around one side of the handle, that and the paracord gives you some options.

Those little mini-ice-cube-sized fuel bricks are pretty cool. I like to make 'em last by only using a small amount of one at a time, never a whole brick.
