Today I'm planning to not be a blond. I really do not understand why, after all these years of being a redhead, my hair has decided it needs streaks of blond. My coloring and the way I do my makeup just are not attractive with blond hair. So - - my plan today is to become UN-blond!
After that, I'm going to work on painting the house. I only have a little more to do and the whole back of the house (minus the gables) will be done, and I can start on the front. I know, I know - - weird - - why did she start in the back? Well, we have been discussing the colors we wanted to use for two years. We have been to the Dutchboy, Behr and Sherwin Williams websites and dont some virtual painting. We finally decided about a month ago, bought one gallon of each of the colors we decided to do (in case we didn't like it) and did the back first, just in case we didn't like it.
We LOVE IT! And because we've finished some landscaping and building a new poolside deck in the back, it feels really finished back there. It's become a place where we can enjoy what we've accomplished instead of looking at everything we want to get done. But now - - now it's time to share with the whole world and do the front.
Why have we not done the gables? Well - - - DH was painting on the gable above the back porch and started down the old wooden ladder when on of the rungs broke. He had a paintbrush in one hand and a small container of paint in the other, so he just hugged that ladder. The next step gave way as well, but the third rung held - - - but he had all kinds of splinters in his chest, his arms, and scrapes on his arms. That ladder is being cut up and burned in our next bonfire!
And that's the whys and wherefores of what I have planned for myself today. Hope everyone has a good day - - - if not, MAKE it a good day!
Hugs!
