Hello everyone Thinking of picking up another 22. I've heard so much good about the Ruger 10/22 I started looking at them.
My question is about the new take down model. Anyone here got any feed back on them?
Thanks and Merry Christmas

Anyone here got any feed back on them? Thanks and Merry Christmas I have two of them and would like to get a couple of more if I could find them. Ruger got it right on that one in my opinion.

I have a Ruger 10/22 and love it. But I would like to trade it for the take down model for a pack gun.

I have a 10/22 as well. Its a wonderful little shooter. Reliable and accurate. The take downs seem nice in all I have read, though I have yet to lay hands on one. One thing to think about over the regular 10/22 is it does have more parts and there for more maintenance. Over all it seems like a good solid gun though.

Had one in my hands and was reaching for my wallet......... Snap decision was to buy two regular 10/22 carbines for $75. more than one TD. The takedown's were $325. and the standard blued carbines were $200.00
Might have been a bad decision on my part because I've never met anyone who doesn't love their takedown. I agree with cwi - it seems to be a winner.
I just don't easily envision needing a breakdown version of an already compact .22 lr rifle. But I can think of many reasons for more rifles.....
Get one, I bet you will love it like everyone else who has one!

check those prices: here yesterday standard was 325, takedown model was 450. They are included in the ban list because they can accept high capacity mags

You know the Marlin 60 is a great alternative to the Ruger and they are not on the ban list....I prefer my HENRY though
