I dont know if any of you have ever tried this but i did for the first time last night! It is GREAT STUFF!!!! We (meaning all the males in our family) spent the day just hangin out in the woods spending quality time together. This was first time in almost year ALL OF USincluding Bradley have done so. Last night we sat around fire under shed..(raining) and sipped on this new concoction tobie made called apple cider moonshine. The taste is decieving as you do not taste the alchohol and before you know it your 3 sheets to the wind! And its smooth too! according to recipe you need 1 gallon apple cider 1/2 gallon apple juice 1cup white sugar 1 cup brown sugar 6 cinnimon sticks 750 mls Everclear Pour apple juice and cider into LARGE POT(this recipe makes 2 ga) along with cinnimon sticks on med heat. After mixture in hot add sugar and bring to rapid boil for several minutes to ensure sugar mixes thoughly....then let cool to room temp. Now you add the Everclear and mix thoughly pour into glass contai er. Serve warm, chilled or @ room temp. I like it slightly warm in front of campfire

Heck that even sounds good without the everclear.. well you know, for kids parties and such.. lol I can imagine the warming of the body though as prepared above and the loss of memory if overdone.. Everclear!!! I hadn't even thought of Everclear for years.. that was a big thing in college..

I've never drank Everclear but that concoction sounds like something I'd be willing to give a try. A group of buddies sitting around a campfire drinking and enjoying each others company sounds perfectly relaxing.

Warning: Did I mention this stuff is VERY POTENT? With the sugarand boiling and the Everclear your looking close to200 proof. One pint reduced me to giggling 300lb lump of boneless flesh. It is definitely for SIPPING....NOT GULPING like a beer or mixed drink. As i type this im in the kitchen making two gallons for New Years Eve bonfire:) Thats why i siad i enjoy it around campfire...once i sit down and get a pint in me ....i can stay there all night...and sleep it off ....cuz you sure aint going anywhere on your own

Sooo...to my brothers, SILs, and a few friends, it will be a normal night of drinking and games of horseshoes, washers and grab ass (NOT each other!)!

Careful don't get the ever clear too close to the fire or you'll end up hairless. LOL Have fun. I had a little touch of the real shine once and somehow rode my Harley home into the front yard but forgot to put my feet down when I stopped. Plum forgot I had feet.

Neat recipe. I wonder why the apple juice and the cider? It sounds a bit sweet but then my cider jack tends toward that as well. Bottoms up!
