Althought I have sold all of my weapons and ammo for twice what I paid for them, after realising the hastle it was going to be to keep them, I do know a thing or two about Strategic Intervention, tactics, and things. With one 22 and one bullet, a BOW and ARROW for that much, you will be able to get a rifle, and possibly a handgun. With a RIfle, you could have more rifles, better equipment, vehicles, and possibly things to fly. IED's would make local law scared to even look outside their own homes, much less go to work. It's a path that the government does NOT want to go down. And bad news spreads like wildfire. The United States of Afghanistan. WC Agreed. But I thought all your guns went down in a canoe accident?? That wasn't me, that was Celtic Warrior. I have pretty good canoe skills. WC

Thank you Sir. I know the Government is looking out for my best interest.
I live in the biggest county in Missouri. There are two Deputies that work the night shift. They are only minutes away, and chances are, they won't be busy.

Life certainly is simpler when you live in a country where the most you can easily own is a double barrel shotgun!

Here is a link to the bill that was voted on by the New York State Assembly earlier today: assembly.state.ny.us/leg/?default_fld=&bn=S02230&term=2013&Summary=Y&Votes=Y&Text=Y#jump_to_VotesHere is a link to the video of the discussion leading up to the vote and the vote itself: assembly.state.ny.us/av/See pages 19-20 for a definition of what constitutes an "assault weapon" including shotguns and pistols (not just rifles). Here is another section (see page 34-35) that is particularly relevant to this ongoing discussion: C) A PERSON WHO KNOWINGLY FAILS TO APPLY TO REGISTER SUCH WEAPON, AS REQUIRED BY THIS SECTION, WITHIN ONE YEAR OF THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE CHAPTER OF THE LAWS OF TWO THOUSAND THIRTEEN WHICH ADDED THIS PARAGRAPH SHALL BE GUILTY OF A CLASS A MISDEMEANOR AND SUCH PERSON WHO UNKNOWINGLY FAILS TO VALIDLY REGISTER SUCH WEAPON WITHIN SUCH ONE YEAR PERIOD SHALL BE GIVEN A WARNING BY AN APPROPRIATE LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY ABOUT SUCH FAILURE AND GIVEN THIRTY DAYS IN WHICH TO APPLY TO REGISTER SUCH WEAPON OR TO SURRENDER IT. A FAILURE TO APPLY OR SURRENDER SUCH WEAPON WITHIN SUCH THIRTY-DAY PERIOD SHALL RESULT IN SUCH WEAPON BEING REMOVED BY AN APPROPRIATE LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY AND DECLARED A NUISANCE. Onidah

I like the part where it says if a weapon is found in your home that holds more than seven rounds etc. it will be a misdemeaner.....does that mean they intend on searching homes after a year? What about LEO and political security staff are they also required to seven rounds or is there an exemption? Laws are supposed to apply to everyone right?

That just makes me sick to my stomach. Reminds me of Muds (?) point that if the government really cared about the lives of children then hundreds of thousands wouldn't be legally murdered via abortion every year.

Looking at the proposals announced Obama has cleverly avoided what Feinstein wants (i.e. an AWB on the national level). Of course, that's all what he was saying; who knows what he'll actually cook up and make into an EO.
