This is kind of a follow up on the thread "When they come for your guns."
The guy my wife took her NRA basic pistol class from advertised locally and on the internet. The advertisement included "Tactical Classes."
Now I don't know if it's a fact or not but the instructor told me (hearsay) that he had already been visited by the Feds (they read the advertisement??) and given a list of tactics he would not be permitted to teach. Their comment to him was there were certain things they did not want the civilian population to know. Hiding from thermal imaging was on of the things he could not teach.
Don't really know. It's just what he related to me.
I loathe conspiracy theories but something's going on when the feds want a poorly trained civilian Militia (2nd amendment.)
Don't know, just don't know

Me too CGU. But I think I'll go to the library and create a new Internet account to look it up.

yeah, good luck hiding from that. You either have to chill yourself to the surrounding temps, or heat everything up to your body temp. We trained on a new thermal system overseas. Can't go into detail, but let's just say I was very, very impressed.

It's pretty easy in Florida since most of the year your body is about the same temp as sorrounding stuff. It only works at night here.

Thermal imaging can be defeated with relative ease once you understand the science behind it. If in fact some feds told that gentlemen anything along those lines, he should get an attorney and sue them for violating his first amendment rights.

I agree with CWI about the lawsuit.. do they also tell the science teachers not to teach that subject?

I might want him to 'splain it a bit further . . . just what was said and how. Notice my OP was filled with a few caveats.
