Just to clarify, if you see white spots on the liver of a hoover hog leave him be. Same with almost all mamal critter you might want to eat. The liver is where the blood is washed, if the liver is faded in color, deformed in any way, or has white spots don't eat it.

Good solid advice, but in the case of the armadillos they where referencing literal white spots on the underside of the critter on his actual hide....
