I had 2 beehives last year. The first hive did well, had enough honey to make it thru spring. The 2nd hive was new,and put bee food and diluted corn syrup in a super to help them out.About 3 wks ago, this hive died out and today the first hive also died out. Anyone else have the same issue?BTW, there were few dead bees left in both hives.

Were there just a few dead ones and the rest gone? Could they have swarmed? Was there evidence of Varroa mites, hive beetles or wax moths?

A few dead bees, will look very closely to see if there are any evidence of mites.

You would be wise to report this to your local bee keepers organization.

Sounds as though your hives swarmed, not died off.
