Heard about it awhile back. I think they got the idea from this:
Sad thing is: there are probably thousands if not millions of idiots... er, people, who think this is exactly what actually goes on in a typical gun shop.

Whomever proposed that law should have to have a mental health check themselves.
Insanity is taking over and people need to stand up and fight before it's too late. (And by fight, I do not mean physically)

It is stupid and it won't get anywhere but it does provide one clue to the issue. If this had became a law then there would be a record of who was buying what ammo and how much, so they would know what guns you had or were shooting. Not a good thing.
But you can bet when the gun ban they want doesn't pass they will come at the ammo, either making you sign for it, over taxing it, or making it hard to get. They will try and sneak this kind of nonsense past while everyone is looking at the gun ban bills. Just my opinion on something to keep track of.

Woodyz they're already trying that here. I'm really hoping nothing passes, but that's me being optimistic.

It's just silly how these people think. I have had 2 different people ask me if I was blowing off steam or reducing stress because i went to the range. I just give them my best confused look and say I'm not stressed, I'm just practicing.

I just chuckle when people question why the American public continues buying ammo at a pace that's breaking all records. I often hear opinions that "hoarders are creating" the problem.
Woody is right - at the risk of being repetitive, ammo is clearly the next target - and already is in may ways. If someone wants to shut down guns, the painfully obvious answer is to kill the ammo and reloading supplies.
How many other things can you lay in today, that will function flawlessly in 50-60+ years? If nothing else, consider that inflation alone will add a zero to the price tag in your lifetime.........
If you feel that there are powerful forces that want to eliminate/limit civilian guns, then you already have your supply built up so you can ignore these comments. It is VERY important to note that I DO NOT suggest buying at the scalper prices often seen today. Invest the effort to learn when your ammo source receives shipments........
I have purchased a lot of ammo since the "panic" started in December, but I have not bought even one round over the "old" price. Today was 150 rounds of .223 55gr in brass from Walmart for $0.31 per round. Wednesday was 150 rounds of .357 HP mag for $0.48/round.
Ammo lasts almost forever. Today's prices most certainly won't!

Marc Agreed. Scalping prices won't help. However, I believe the price will go up a lot more than most are currently predicting over the next ten years.

You're right cwi but I believe "everything" will go up on a scale never seen before by the american public. It's gonna be rough for a "prepper", it's going to be horrible for everyone else.

and how many people would 'fail' the anger management course and be dissalowed from bying ammo, you can have all the guns you want but if you have no ammunition then they are just expensive clubs
