As if I don't have enough to do, and never complete I am entertaining the thought of getting involved with 3 gun. I am ashamed to admit that I don't have a shot gun or a good enough quality full sized pistola but I think it would be fun. I know several on here compete in some form or another but not sure if anyone does 3 gun. I know just like any other hobby you can spend as much as your wife/wallet will allow. I know everyone has opinions on shotguns as well. All I know is I think I am leaning towards a semiauto 12 guage and I believe the barrel must be 21-23". Not sure what else to look for aside from price. I am also leaning towards a full size XD 9 similar to the one MUD picked up. Not sure if I am looking for someone to say "yeah go for it" or" WHOOAA their fella"! ;D The wife did just buy me a new safe for my birthday so I guess I need to filler up!!

Xwing used to compete in 3 gun I think.
I've never done it, but I've watched and it looks like fun...

Is there one national organization or is it loosey goosey? There are some good old boys that set up a competition around here locally but it is just that.

The most popular/ well known matches are put on by USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Assoc.) But there are lots of smaller clubs that put these matches on. Most follow USPSA rules.
