Well got out today and caught some fish. Yes it was cold just made it to 41 degree but lots of sun shine. Today I caught nothing but Bluegill, that's OK better then nothing. Water temps are still in the mid 40s, we need a warm up for sure. Snow storm coming for Sunday night into Monday, this should be interesting. This is my first fishing video for 2013, they will get better....I promise

Is that a lake or river OT? It's both, it's a short creek that drains a private lake into a river. The creek is no longer then say 50 to 75 yards long and no deeper then 5 ft for the most part. The fact that it drains a private lake and the water that comes from it is better quality then the river. Makes it a local hot spot for many species. We can only fish the small creek and the river but not the private lake....the fish come to us ;D ;D ;D |

On the plus side, cold or not, I reorganized my tackle box yesterday. I'd bought a few more goodies and needed to find them a proper home in the box. My box is small, a "bag" in its own right, but easily attached to my pack. If this wasn't Sunday night and I hadn't spent the day baking, I'd do a video and see if OT approves. For now, though, it'll have to wait.

Like the box you were showing I have a planno TX nylon case that holds three different sized plastic boxes. I like it because I can pre-load multiple boxes and change them out depending on what I am fishing for. And one of the boxes, the smallest is a FAK because someone always wants to get hooked or cuts themselves with a fillet knife. By the way, my best lure is a small piece of gold or silver chain threaded on a small hook. Works on almost everything. |

That plastic tackle box you seen in the video is one of three that fit in a soft side tackle box. Two fit inside and one on the outside and yes they are versatile. I like the chain idea might give it a try...thanks for the tip |
