There's a lot of wasted space inside a gun cabinet. I took an old pair of worn out Levis and cut the legs off, cut 3 pockets from the denim and topstitched them to the front of a long rectangular piece, sewed a folded-over hem on the top and stuck a dowel through it, attached a string handle to the dowel ends and hung this storage unit from the back of the top shelf by a metal S hook. Denim is such sturdy fabric, and the pockets can hold all sorts of gear... cartridges, cleaning supplies, clips... in the big empty space next to my weapons' barrels. If you decide to make one of these for yourself, here are a few tips. When you cut out pockets, make the bottoms about 20% larger than the tops (a trapezoid), then make one pleat on each bottom side and sew it down. You should end up with a pocket with top and bottom edges of equal length. That makes a patch pocket into a cargo pocket. Double stitch each pocket up at the top right and left edges, to strengthen them in that critical stress point. No need to hem anything. It's not like this unit is going to get a lot of wear. Just utilize what hemming is already on the Levis... use the bottom hem of a leg as the bottom of your unit. You can make a couple of these and hang them against the right and left inside walls by simply sticking good strong adhesive hooks against the walls. No use in letting good storage space go to waste, is there?

There's a lot of wasted space inside a gun cabinet. Maybe you don't have enough guns in there??? ;D
