Anyone buy any long term food stocks from the Mormon's Provident living home storage centers? I'll be in Nashville in a couple of days and had considered purchasing some grain and rice. providentliving.org/?lang=eng

I have never bought from them, but if you are there and can afford to get supplies, you should get them. Passing a chance to add bulk supplies to your preps could be a deadly mistake. Give it a shot and let the rest of us know how it works out. It could be a learning experience for all of us! GOOD LUCK!!

I would like to purchase from them, but going to Nashville was a little far to go. I was hoping that they had a place here in town, but no luck. If I recall correctly, a lot of the time, they will allow you to use their mylar bag sealer (if you purchase the mylar bags).

I just went to the cannery on Wednesday that they have here in the Dallas area. We got to can our own food. We made up 2 assembly lines. We had the can packers and then the Oxygen absorbed installer and then the person running the canning machine and then the packer that put the cans in the boxes with the 2 lids. They do the canning on Wed. here at 930 and 1130 and bulk sales on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have read that each place is different. I heard some you have to come with someone from the LDS. Others is open to anyone. I would suggest calling to see when is the best time and day to come to get what you need and if and when it is open to the public.

The center in Nashville is open on Tuesdays only. I did get six no. 10 cans of food. I would have gotten more if I had room. They were very friendly and I plan to go again next time I'm in the area.
