I don't see how that applies. Obamacare isn't national health insurance. People are expected to buy their own insurance through some provider. Also, Canada has national health insurance and people are constantly coming across the border to get treatments that they would have to wait years for there. I agree that everyone should be that responsible but I think compared with the cost per month a lot of people will take a chance or risk the fines instead of spending the money. I do know that insurance rates went up for most people due to some aspects of Obamacare. Ours went up $200 per month.. While it's great that no one can be turned down someone ends up paying. That gets passed down the line to people like us. Also, from people I know in the medical profession some doctors are choosing not to take some insurance plans. I think some aspects of ACA are good and have a good intent. Others were not so well thought out. A lot of companies are cutting work hours per week to get around the requirement to provide insurance for FT employees. There are a lot of problems with this plan even though it is presented in glowing terms. Even people in the gov who were on board originally are taking a step back now that they see how things are headed.

I'm not sure what's specifically happening here in CT as it relates to bambamcare, but my cardiologist is part of a large exodus of doctors leaving the area.
