Just purchased an OLD "New Ithaca" Damascus SxS 12 ga. with the outside hammers, circa 1900 or so. It actually has a very tight lock up, and crisp triggers. It is in very good shape for a hunny years old and has wonderful patina. The only thing is a small chip on the stock. I do want to shoot it and take it on a rabbit hunt so I have to get it checked out first. Does anyone know where I can get the proper shells for it? I have an unpretty face but, I have grown attached to it! For the $50 I shelled out for it, I will have a nice mantle hanger at a minimum. Sorry, no pics. I left it in MO. Have any of ya'll shot Damascus? Tips and comments welcome.

Like a coach gun? I love those. I have almost bought one several times.

This one has much longer barrels. I think 28" at least. This thing is a beast.

Gotcha. Is it the break barrel kind that ejects the shells? Just something neat about those! Don't know much about them other than some day I will hang one above my fire place mantle.
