That is the question in a nut shell. I have been carrying this www.browning.com/products/catalog/tactical-knives/detail.asp?fid=014E&cid=320&tid=113BL for a year or so now. I do like it and it does what I want it to and it came razor sharp, which is good because I still suck at sharpening these suckers. My question is though, is a benchmade worth it? I have been contemplating grabbing one and with a small .mil discount it is making it a little easier for me to pull the trigger. Anyone have one and or recommened them?

I have a folder that I really like but, the price was right - issued ;D. I would not pay what was in the catalogue. If I was shelling out my own $$$ Id look at Spyderco. They have a bunch of neat styles and arent as expensive. I carry a Delica and Endura daily. Just my 2 cent.

Are you official on a "deployment" is that why it was issued or do the puddle pirates have a sweet gig? All those in my unit that have been deployed have benchmades from the deployments that is why I ask. I have plenty folders but, I was bored at school and jumped on their website and looks like roughly 40-60% discount according to which style you order.

I've owned Benchmade knives and like Spyderco great knives, however Kershaw knives are a lot less, still high quality and if you loose them or they get stolen it hurts less. Also CRKT makes great knives worth looking at as well.
