A co-worker showed me this. He is from Meridian, MS. It looks like others are reaching out.

You are invited to attend Meridian Tea Party's Crises Management event. And a preppers pot luck dinner. Please bring or prepare on site, a dish you would cook for your family 5 days after the power has been out. Be creative, share your skills with the group. Bring a chair and enjoy some cobbliers and homemade bread baked on the fire.

Watch as we bake bread and prepare other foods on an open fire. Learn field medicine ideas, see homemade tools, learn what to keep on hand for emergencies, discuss preparedness ideas with friends.
