Surfing channels this morning and Antique Road show had a Confederate Bowie Knife, beech handle, probably made from a file by a blacksmith, estimated value $1,500 -2,000. However, the sheath was also with it. Tin around the top to help with the stiffness I assume to replace the knife in the sheath, which was in good shape and had a geometric design on both sides and a belt loop. WITH the sheath and it's condition the value was placed around $7,000. Hang onto and pass down those Crashblades... PS Crash this isn't to encourage you to raise your prices until I'm certain I won't buy any more Crashblades.

Hahaha. I try and keep things where people can afford them.
Funny story....at least I think so. I got a message from a guy and he sent a picture of one of my knives to me. He asked if I was the one that made it - he didn't want a counterfeit. I guess you "arrive" in the knife making world when somebody counterfeits your work.
Anyway he asked if it was worth the price being asked, which was more than $100 more than the person I sold it to paid for it. I responded that it was worth whatever somebody was willing to pay.
