Just a short video of my younger doe making a nest. Most people have never seen a rabbit working on making one before, so I thought I would share this. She worked all day and half the night getting it just right. She finished and had her litter in the wee hours of the morning on July 3rd. I will show the babies in another video. Her first litter this spring, she did not know to have them in the nest box and she kept moving them out of it and around. I was surprised when she didn't loose them. However, as you can see, she learned from me constantly moving them, and this time she did it right! I hope I did this right!! Posting this here is kind of an experiment, so here's to my learning curve! www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaEXzbaFtIQ

Nice video Dink, I enjoyed it and thanks for sharing. It does take a little time to take, upload, edit, then down load and post. Looking forward to more of your videos.

Neat video!
We had a dwarf bunny (from the local pet shop) who lived for 15 years and regularly made hay nests. It seemed like every time I filled his hay container, he'd empty it within 2 hours so he could sleep on the hay, regardless of how much other loose hay I left for him. He took particular notice of us every time we had salad or fruit; one day we offered him an apple and he promptly worked his way through the whole thing. He almost never chewed on his hay in front of us, nor did he ever eat bunny chow. Airborne always had fresh greens for him -- kale, mustard greens, carrots with the tops (we ate the carrots and the bunny got the greens).
