Anyone ever heard of it? Looks like a good rifle to train a child with come the appropriate age.
Found one priced at basically $100. Takes 22LR, 22 long, and 22 short. Single shot bolt action.
I like the idea it will take multiple kinds of 22 rimfire. That could prove useful when 22LR can't be found.

I wasn't sure what you were referring to so I looked it up and there was one (already sold) for about $75 but it seems to be an older firearm and probably would be a great rifle to have on hand and to train the young'uns with. I'd do it.. probably make a great squirrel gun.

I would say it's your average back door varmint shooter.......had a Savage Model looks just about the same....First gun I purchased. 100 bucks is about the going rate.....check the bore.....I must have put 10K rds thru mine in 50 years.

Took this plus my Stevens 90 20ga out to shoot. The 53 can be quite accurate, and a solid tack driver.

I had a Mod 53 for quite a few years . Gave it to my nephew . No plastic trigger guards or other cheap gizmos . Took a lot of game with that rifle and $100 doesn't sound too bad for todays prices ... if it is in good condition .
Good luck
