Just be carefull ifin yall usin a galvanized bucket, if ya get it to warm that galvanized can gas off. Not a good thin!

I used one of those charcoal bricket starters as a stove once. I put a pan on top and shoved some coals from the camp fire in the openings at the bottom. Ran it right next to the camp fire. It worked really well. If it got too hot I lifted it up and removed a couple coals and if it needed more heat a pushed a couple coals in. It held the pan really nicely on top. It came with the house when we moved in so the cost was zero.
