2.7 million hogs in Texas. Each year they kill/trap one million. The population doesn't go down. They can have 3-4 litters a year with as many as 6 piglets each time. Unfortunately Texas doesn't allow them to be given to food banks or other organizations. So I was told anyway. Nice job on those hogs.

We kill a few every week or two around here between traps and feeders. They have been hanging really close to the river until last few days. The coyotes and buzzards got that batch. I will probably try to shoot a yote or two off the carcasses. Killing them both is almost a duty These where all shot with a .22 off a deer corn feeder.... Strangely enough there was not a boar in the bunch. One was an older sow about 125 lbs, three shoats probably 70-80 lbs and one pig at about 25 lbs. That one would have been good eating but was just to hot to fool with em.

I hope you never get them.... annoying rascals.....they tear up yards, gardens, pastures etc... and are a far worst road hazard then deer IMHO We seem to get a lot of fishing on here so I thought I would show what I was doing today with my neighbor for a change of pace.....
