Newtown unanimously adopts new firearms ordinance Published September 10, 2013 Associated Press NEWTOWN, Conn. – More than a year after debate began Newtown's Legislative Council has unanimously approved a firearms ordinance limiting recreational shooting. The News Times reports that Legislative Council President Jeff Capeci said Monday the ordinance balanced the views of those seeking to protect their Second Amendment rights and others who worry about safety and nuisance problems. Hundreds of people offered about 200 hours of testimony for the ordinance in the town where 20 children and six educators were fatally shot in an elementary school last December. The ordinance says no resident may shoot for more than four hours after police are notified and shooting is limited to one person at a time. Target backstops are required and must be 10 feet above the target.
No shooting is allowed within a half-mile of a school.

and only one at a time.. and yeah, that 10 foot (higher than the target(backstop) would be a real pain.. Who shoots on CT.. I'd be for moving everything I owned and probably some I didn't the heck out of there at the first opportunity.. It's amazing to me how that part of the country was the foundation of our revolution and freedom has turned into the smelly pile of crap it is. Pretty country but retarded politicians and the people who put them in office.. Present wonderful company excluded from this rant.. There are some left who would change the world but...

Our newspaper gleefully put it in its own article a few days ago. BTW there is no public range in Newtown for gun owners there to use anyway. Nearest one is at least a half hour drive away.

Doesn't a half hour drive, in any direction in Connecticut, put you in another state?
