Quote from the article "New sales of semi-automatic rifles with removable magazines would be banned in California under a bill passed by the Democratic-led state legislature on Tuesday, and those who already own such weapons would have to register them. ....... It would classify as an assault weapon as any rifle that accepts a detachable magazine that can hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition, and would ban its sale or purchase. People who already own such weapons would be required to register them." NBC News

My high school in Southern California had a Gun Club when I went there. (That was Los Angeles County, no less) Open carry was legal too, but you really only saw it rural areas.
My neighbors and parents complained about the throngs people moving in from the Eastern US who wanted to change how we did things, to "their way of thinking." Now I live in Texas and I'm complaining about people coming here from both the East and West coasts - who are working to change how things are done.........
It's a cancer that keeps spreading because "we the people" allow it.

I have yet to hear a single, viable argument of how restricting certain types of weapons from law abiding citizens is going to keep them out of the hands of criminals and keep the world safer.
And of course we won't. This is just all a precursor to confiscation. Remaining vigilant and continuing the fight is all of our responsibilities.
